The Security Industry Federation (SIF) has signed a formal Recognition and Procedural Agreement with TLG Venue & Site Management Ltd, giving security staff a clear, independent voice at work through their trade union.
Effective from 1st December 2025, the agreement confirms SIF as the recognised trade union for security officers, supervisors and related operational security staff employed by TLG (excluding directors and those with company-wide policy powers).
Under the agreement, SIF is recognised to negotiate and consult on key employment matters, including:
Pay and pay structures
Hours, rostering and leave
Terms and conditions of employment
Redundancy, redeployment and reorganisation
Discipline, grievance and capability procedures
Health, safety and welfare
Equality, diversity and inclusion
The deal guarantees workers the right to join SIF without detriment, elect workplace reps, and for those reps to receive paid time off and reasonable facilities to carry out their role. New starters will be told at induction that SIF is recognised and how to contact the union.
SIF and TLG will ensure that sharing information, consulting on changes, negotiating pay and conditions, and resolving collective issues are done at an early stage.
The agreement also sets out joint commitments on equality, dignity and safe reporting, including zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying and harassment, manager training, and confidential routes to raise serious concerns without fear of victimisation.
SIF General Secretary Daniel Garnham said:
“This agreement with TLG is a serious commitment to doing things properly. It gives security officers and supervisors a structured voice on pay, hours, safety and dignity at work. We welcome TLG’s decision to work in partnership with SIF and we look forward to building fair, safe and professional workplaces together.”
