Over the past 9 months, security staff employed by First Response Group (FRG) have been raising concerns over the culture and attitude of supervisors and managers at the company. This includes raising concerns directly with their union, the Security Industry Federation (SIF). These concerns are not minor. They are systemic: racism, homophobia, a culture of bullying and harassment that has seen supervisors call staff ‘Dogs’.
This toxic culture has not been adequately addressed by FRG, despite the private and proactive role that SIF has played in raising these concerns, to improve the culture and working conditions for FRG staff.
Our campaign has no choice but to now publicise these concerns and to ensure that FRG take staff concerns seriously and deliver an overhauled equality, diversity and inclusion policy for the workplace, with training and enforcement by managers, alongside recognition for SIF to end the toxic culture and bullying for good.
We are asking you to write to First Response Group CEO, Simon Alderson, to end this toxic culture. All responses are anonymous with data only collected for statistical purposes.
