The SIF Trade Union stands with minority security workers, unapologetically and without compromise. We are sickened by the discrimination our members face for being themselves, for being Black, Asian, Middle Eastern, or for being disabled, neurodivergent, a woman or a member of the LGBTQ+ community. For the last three years, since the SIF was formed, we have seen first hand the openly biased and discriminatory behaviour of team leaders, managers and even HR representatives at security employers.
We do not endorse the awards for EDI that are given out to security companies at lavish ceremonies when we know the reality of how workers are really treated.
This is why we have dedicated communities that promise to protect you at work, represent you at every table, and enforces a zero-tolerance policy on racism, harassment, and discrimination against security workers. If you’ve been overlooked, underpaid, or singled out because of who you are, we have a message….
NOT ANYMORE
With the SIF, you get swift support, powerful representation in grievances and disciplinaries, and real pressure on employers for fair pay, fair promotion, and safe sites. Your experiences will be heard, your rights defended, and your career progression championed.
