At the SIF we are highlighting the courageous women that work in the security industry for International Women’s Day on 8th March.
In the summer of 2024, Clare Beeson was working as a Door Supervisor at Trilogy nightclub, Colchester. A violent male was escorted out of the club by her colleagues and once outside he turned on Clare, knocking her unconscious with one punch and fracturing her eye socket. Clare was unable to work for months and left with life changing injuries. Her attacker walked free from court with a small fine and community service. The SIF have appealed against his unduly lenient sentence.
The SIF caught up with Clare who is now back to work as a DS at the same venue, showing tremendous resilience.
