Our security professionals have long been the forgotten workforce in the UK. So many industry’s have greater protections and pay rates yet security workers struggle to make ends meet often living pay day to pay day, forced to use food banks and risking homelessness due to rising rents and mortgage payments.
We urge all security employers to use IPSA’s guide, ‘Establishing minimum costs to deliver an ACS compliant security service’. Find out more here https://nahs.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/IPSA-Minimum-Charge-Rate-Guidance-document.pdf
Security companies who do the right thing by giving their workers contracts that include holiday and sick pay are often brushed aside in the tender process by companies that abuse the tender process, using zero hour contracts and hiding behind the clients budget.
This is labour abuse and the posting of millions in profit whilst their security workers are earning below the Real Living Wage set by the Living Wage Foundation is an insult.
IT NEEDS TO STOP NOW!
Sign our petition and show the UK security industry that we will not continue to be silenced.
